Peter Schiff talking about Fiscal Cliff and Decoupling


When you speak of the devil... After several days of my publication of the decoupling theory, Peter Schiff put up a video talking about the fiscal cliff and about the decoupling of the Asian and Western economies.

    Did he say by when? It is very difficult to invest based on this very general but unspecific talk. I mean if you shorted bonds or the dollar the last few years you would not have done so well.

      Peter doesn't know exactly when, but he did say it would happen in the next 5 years.

      One thing I'm sure of, the bonds have yields of lower than 2%, while inflation is higher than 2%. So basically you can't earn money with bonds. It's better to bet on inflationary assets.

On June 24th, 2016, Britain voted to leave the EU. The immediate reaction was an 8% plunge in the Nikkei, financials dropped between 10-30%, negative bond yields went even more negative and gold surged 8%.
